Here’s a concise breakdown of what you need to know as an Irish customer shopping with Toolden.

Price & Shipping

We aim to offer the best shipping service to Ireland possible.

We currently charge £14.99 for most deliveries to Ireland, excluding a few of our larger items priced based on weight:

All shipping costs will be chargeable at the checkout stage, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

By default, all prices on our website are displayed in GBP; however, with a simple click, you can change that to be displayed in EURO. Just navigate to the website’s top right-hand corner and use the currency drop-down option.

VAT, Customs and Duty

Starting from February 2021, Toolden will no longer collect VAT for Irish orders. The responsibility for VAT, customs, and duty will be transferred to the carrier, specifically FedEx.

This means that FedEx will handle the delivery of parcels and collect any applicable Duties and Taxes directly from the recipient.

It’s important to note that each country charges a receiver fee, and for Ireland, an additional fee of 5 Euro + VAT will be incurred. This adjustment aims to streamline the process and provide a more efficient experience for our customers in Ireland.

FAQs

How long does it take for power tools to be delivered to Ireland from the UK?

Delivery times typically range from 3 to 5 business days after the order has been processed and dispatched. However, please note that unforeseen circumstances, such as customs clearance, may affect delivery times.

How can I get a commercial invoice for my order?

If you have a large item dispatched to Southern Ireland that will be sent on a pallet, then a commercial invoice will be required.

You need to email admin@toolden.co.uk with a note of your order number quoting your EORI and VAT number, we can then add this to your account and ensure this is passed to the courier company to save any delays.

Do you provide tracking information for power tool deliveries to Ireland?

Yes, we provide tracking information for all orders dispatched to Ireland. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has been shipped, allowing you to monitor its progress until it reaches its destination.

What happens if my power tool arrives damaged or faulty?

In the rare event that your power tool arrives damaged or faulty, please contact our customer service team immediately. We will arrange for a replacement to be sent out to you as soon as possible, and we may require the damaged/faulty item to be returned to us for inspection or exchange.
